The mission of Pickett's Mill Baptist Church is to love God, to love others, and to magnify the name of Jesus Christ. The vision of our church is to glorify our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, to make true disciples throughout all the nations by means of missionary activity and support.
Johnny Nix was called into the ministry when he was 10 years old. Since the age of 10, he has conducted 150 or more meetings per year. He has pastored four churches in Georgia and Tennessee before coming to Pickett's Mill. Most recently, he pastored Wartburg First Baptist Church where they saw incredible growth. He holds an Associate Degree in Biblical Studies as well as a Bachelor of Theology. He is currently finishing a Master's Degree at Crown College and pursuing his Doctorate. He and his wife Hannah were High School sweethearts, they have been married for over 20 years. Johnny and Hannah have three beautiful daughters: Faith, Hope, and Joy! Pastor Johnny loves Georgia Football, the Atlanta Braves, and the outdoors. His favorite passage of Scripture is Proverbs 3:5,6.
Chris is married to Sonya Lockhart and they have two wonderful kids, Gage (10) and Noelle (9). Chris graduated with a BS in Architectural Engineering from Southern Poly and recently graduated from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Masters in Theological Studies. When not at church, Chris enjoys sports of all kinds including golf and football, and playing video games with Gage and Noelle. Chris has taught at about every level of bible study in church over the years but has always been drawn back to the youth. Chris has said, "I' m just a big kid at heart. Ministering to youth is what I love and I look forward to spending every moment I can to help them grow in their knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ."
Ben has been the music director at PMBC for 11½ years. He is married to Gradyne Willingham Ferguson and they recently celebrated their 45th anniversary. They have two children, Adam, who lives in St. Petersburg, Fl. and Cassie Martin who resides in Boston. Ben attended Jacksonville State University in Alabama where he received a B.S. in Music Ed. and East Carolina University in North Carolina where he earned a Masters in Music Performance and Music Ed. He belongs to Phi Mu Alpha Music Fraternity and PI Kappa Lambda Honorary Society. He received Christ as his personal Savior at a summer revival in 1960 at Corner Baptist Church in Cobb County and has served as music director at various churches in Georgia and North Carolina. He believes that if a ministry for the Lord is worthy of our service, it is also worthy of our best effort and effective use of our God-given talent.

Jamie came to Pickett’s Mill in February 2001. She is married to Danny and they have 3 children: Brittany (and Anthony) Millsap, Spencer (and Heather) Reynolds, and Jared (and Krista) Reynolds. Danny and Jamie are “Lolli and Pop” to grandson Kamden and have two more grandchildren on the way. Jamie came to know Christ at age 6 in her home state of Tennessee where she grew up as a pastor’s daughter. She moved to Georgia while in college and later made it her home. Jamie attended Union University, Tift College and Georgia Baptist Hospital School of Nursing. She loves decorating, time with family, shopping, TN football, autumn in the mountains and hanging out with the kids of PMBC! Her favorite scripture is:

Donna has been the Church/Financial Secretary since 2006. She is married to Steve and they have one daughter Lauren who is married to David Hornback. Donna graduated from George C. Wallace State Community College with an Associate in Science degree. She has been working in the ministry since 1991. Donna is a member of Westridge Church where she serves in the Kiosk and Student Ministries. Donna’s hobbies are reading, crocheting, sewing, and watching sports, particularly the Alabama Crimson Tide. Donna’s favorite verse is…
