Pastor Johnny Nix
Pastor Johnny Nix became the senior pastor at Pickett’s Mill Baptist Church in June of 2017. Since then, the church has undergone many transitions under his leadership, and continues to grow by the grace of God weekly. “If ever there was a pastor who pointed me to know and love Jesus better,” one church member stated, “their name is Johnny Nix.”
Johnny Nix has lead a dynamic life of pastoring, and for over 27 years God has blessed his strong, biblical preaching and love for the church and for lost souls with much fruit through the years. Part of the key to Pastor Johnny’s motivation is understanding and teaching that no ministry rises and falls on any one man, but rather that success in ministry is found through leading others to trusting Jesus Christ fully, daily, and with sincerity.
Pastor Johnny not only has a love for God’s people and reaching lost souls, but He has a strong devotion to the Word of God. Every Sunday and Wednesday at Pickett’s Mill, Pastor Johnny stands before the church with a powerful delivery of the preaching of God’s Book.
Pastor Johnny holds a Bachelor’s Degree of Arts in Theology, a Master's Degree from the Crown College of the Bible and has earned his Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Ministry Degree from Bethany Divinity College and Seminary as well as a Ph.D in psychology and counseling.
